27” LCD TV
If you’re in the market for an LCD TV and you’re seeking something in the 20-30” size range, you’re in luck as prices for these size models are gradually falling. Like most technological products, as advances are made, consumers benefit from lower prices if they’re just patient enough. 27” seems to be a standard size for many Homes. Even if a bigger size set is desired in another room and a smaller set is needed for tight spaces, a 27” LCD TV (or TV around that size) is more than likely a good fit somewhere in the Home.

Even in an average-size apartment, this set would be a complimentary addition without being too obtrusive. Wall-mounted, you’re not taking up an inch of space on the floor, so this is great for those who also need to save space and keep an area clutter-free. You will probably be able to find a 27” LCD TV from a variety of manufacturers, mostly under $1000. At GoSale.com, a Westinghouse model can be found for the steal price of $700. There are several other brands advertised there as well, for less than a grand, including Viewsonic and Syntax. At such prices, parents may decide it’s worth it to outfit the kids’ recreation room with a set this size--at least they probably wouldn’t have to hear the arguments over not being able to see with this suitably sized screen.

With the popularity of PC compatibility increasingly being offered in LCD TVs, you’ll also be able to enjoy Internet surfing on a much larger scale than traditional monitor sizes (15”-17”). For gamers, this would be a nice step-up in size as well from small screens, plus, with LCD TV’s long lamp life, this would make a smart investment for them. You could enjoy years of game-playing on an LCD TV and at 27”, there would be a minimum of eye-strain. Since less expensive LCD TVs are easily found, a 27” size could be a wise investment if you’re really wanting to try out this new technology, but don’t want to or can’t break the bank doing it.

For sometimes less than $1000, you can experience the unparalleled clarity of picture, excellent sound, and high resolution that LCD TVs are known for. If you divide the years of TV viewing by the price you pay, it can work out to be a bargain-hunter’s dream. And for those for whom space is a premium, this is also a good deal. You can still enjoy the benefits of LCD TV viewing without losing valuable floor space (if you wall-mount), all the while enhancing a smaller room with an attractive focal point.
